EXCELLENCE EQUALS TO HARD WORK & SKILLS

Nelibar Craftmanship has been perfected for more that fifty years, forming a modern heritage of exceptional shoemaking and enduring passion for leather.

PREPARING THE DESIGN TO DRAFTING THE PATTERN

Once the design is finalized, the pattern make starts drafting directly on our wooden shoe that is wrapped in Adhesive tape. Each detail and cut is precisely drawn, symbolizing the quest for perfection since early production stage.

CHOOSING THE MATERIAL & CUTTING THE LEATHER

The chosen high quality leather and lining are cut according to the pattern by the craftsman, who follows every curve with watchful eyes and skillful hands, maintaining precision to achieve the right final fit.

SEWING THE UPPER

Before the upper and the lining are shaped into a more rigid structure, they are sewn together using double stitching method to ensure durability.

LASTING THE UPPER

The joined upper and lining part of the shoes is shaped by a shoes last that is inserted in to the structure. This process highly depends on both the expertise of the craftsman and the quality of the machinery – two elements that define Mario Minardi hallmark.

ASSEMBLING THE SOLE

The insole is assembled and stitched to the upper, then the process is continued to welting (to attach the upper to the outsole) and soling (to attach the heels). This stage of production defines the construction of the shoes, in which Mario Minardi employs either good year welt or cementing to create the studiest construction.

FINISHING

The outside is smoothened and colored, while the upper is brushed to bring out the shine and desired shade of the leather. Eventually, quality control and packaging team will run the last check before the shoes are boxed, ready to be delivered.
